#62805 - External Pull-ups and Adres Latch
hello ,

I want to use external ram (62C256) with the P89C664 µC, so i need an 74HCT573
latch to save the low order adress-byte emitted by port2. Hence that Port2 has open-drain outputs...

In the datasheet it says:

"Port 2 emits the high-order address byte during fetches
from external program memory and during accesses to
external data memory that use 16-bit addresses (MOVX @
DPTR). "

AND THEN IT SAYS:

"In this application, it uses strong internal pullups
when emitting 1s."

Does that mean i don't have to use extra external pull-up resistors???

Is there anybody who has experience with this??

Thanks and greetzz...
