To figure out what IC it is, I do the following: 1/sketch out the connections - power,inputs,outputs 2/ look at the package (of the ic) each manufacturer is different so by experience you can normally guess who made it. 3/ look at the datasheets from that manufacturer for some that matches what you sketched. This involves a bit of experience, so don't think it is easy. Take a digital picture of the i.c and place it somewhere where we can look at it and tell us what the connections are, then we should be able to guide you in the right direction. |
