#63608 - 8051 speaker components |
Hello all!
I was going through the postings regarding connecting an 8051 with a moving coil speaker: http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=38218 I was wondering why the free-wheeling diode is not suggested across the speaker coil (to counter back emf when coil is turned off) ?? Secondly, I saw one of the postings (sorry I closed the browser window and forgot its URL) that suggested connecting a capacitor b/w port pin and speaker coil terminal. What is the difference b/w the two implementations ?? How differently do they behave ?? Regards Aman |
