A rf conection might enormously benifit the telescope. I've been working on UHF electronics, and am staring to get capable at it. If all fails and the nearest phone line is in site. Then a infrared link might be possible. If you ever do get an internet conection to the telescope and don't see how you can get around paying the bill for the server.
