the maxim devices are very sensitive to noise on power supply . try to use tantal capacitor bypass at supply pins of the microcontroller circuit - especially across maxim IC

if you dont use reset generator then i think the problem will be eliminated or reduced .

also put RC filter across 230 V AC motor
220nF X2 capacitor with 100 Ohm in series
