TH2 = (65535-1000)>>8;
TL2= (65535-1000);

RCAP2H = TH2;
RCAP2L = TL2;

why TH2 must shift 8 bit? dont't link please :(

1) Put on your thinking cap
2) What is the size (in bits) of TL2 and TH2
3) How many bits does it take to store (65535-1000)
4) what actually goes into TL2 on the second instruction

And if that does not do it
