Some Ram chips don't like having /CS grounded especially if it is a high speed device (like the cache rams from pc motherboards). You can AND /WR and /RD to generate the /CS (you may want to AND in PSEN also). Why have you got PSEN anded with /rd ? I think the 831 has 62k flash so you can't get anymore code space - this is unless you're trying to use the ram as external code store. |
