#64559 - RE: Free C comp. with bankswitch support Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Wonderful, thankyou guys for this intersesting replies, and yes, I prefair to use my midlename on the net, (did'nt realize my mail would be availible public in this forum (do not intend to offend anyone here though).)
Ok, I have a bunch of fast 40MHz 80C302 and similar I want to use e.g for my smart home system I want to build. I will use 640x200 LCD for the terminals (one in each room) and to make a good graphical interface I need plenty of memory, for sprites and fonts, playback buffers, camerainterface and so on... I already have the CPU's, and plenty of FLASH memory therefore I like to use it! I'm not a programmer by profession and do not have time to become one right now, otherwise I gladly would contribute to the SDCC and make it support bankswitching. Some extra overhead doesn't bother me, it's more important to be able to compile C and let the compiler itself handle the tricky switching, I will probably use some code on other architectures as well, so I would like not to have to swap banks manually in my code, to 'fool' the compiler. I'm only interested in open stuff here, but it seems like I have to accept there are no switching support availible at the moment. =( Great with so fast responses form you folks, I registred here today and did'nt believe so meny to be online here! Goodnight! /Andreas ...and yes, I live in Sweden( |
