#65215 - Speculation Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Donald Catto said:
"I've a string thats coming back from a microconverter. The string is stored in ASCII format, I need to store the HEX version of the string in a string"
The OP's clarification: "OK I've a string which contains "$0#1" I require a string which contains the HEX verson of this, i.e. "24302331" " I don't believe that "$0#1" is a string at all. As I said elsewhere, it's almost certainly a 32-bit number in which all four bytes just happen to be printable ASCII codes! But then that's just more speculation & guesswork - we await clarification from Caoimh MC... |
