Definitely not a task for an 8051! Unless the people have some sort of ID tag. On the other hand, if there is only 1 person (at a time), and you know that they only ever proceed direct from point A to point B, a simple IR (or visible) light beam would be fine, and an 8051 should cope just fine. You need to explain precisely what it is that you're trying to do! |
