Most lcd's I've used consume around 5-10mA (from memory). The killer is the led backlight which can consume over 100mA. There's not too much you can do to reduce the current consumption of the lcd display itself but you can put a resistor in series with the led backlight to drop the current (and the brightness) or use an electro-luminescent backlight. The part number you quote means very little unless you can quote the manufacturer. |
