I have a product that also powers an LCD down when IDLE. The LCD in question only draws 2mA (no backlight), so the LCD power and contrast are driven by a port pin directly (PSoC). To turn it off, just set all the port pins low. And like other mentioned,
when powered back up, you have to re-initialize it (and replace the text and cursor position if necessary). |
