Vague. Data is a generic name. "2" is data for me; "ABCD1234" is data for my neighbour; and "$%@#&*(" is data for the person reading this. Which is yours ? Dont worry, once you read the Help on MSCOMM in VB and understand it , communicating between a 8051 and VB is no big deal. You will wonder why you asked what you asked. Raghu |
