Hi,
yes that idea also had struck me before I posted. But the problems would be: 1- I will have to buy a complete calipers and the size that I need nearly costs many many $$$$$$, so not economical at all. With an encoder, I will be able to adjust the guage for any size. 2- I could not find a calipers that offers data to be tapped for transmission. So let's suggest something else, please.
