you are proving the point that was made many times re IAR. IAR does not make a '51 compiler, they make a compiler and adapt it to the '51.
I believe that IAR has it main income frrom the AVR where they seems to rule and thus what you get is something where the bas is optimized for the AVR and then 'adapted' to the '51. I can see living with those 'adaptations' id you are operating in dual mode sone AVR, some '51, but if you do not do AVR I suggerst you avoid IAR Erik |
