Actuallly this is not answer to your question ,but even i have some doubts
Which utility did you use to convert the bitmap image file to hex.
I did the following things,
1.Made an image file (only text) in paint and saved as .tiff
2. I changed the name of file to .bin
3. Next i used our normal binary to hex converter ,to convert to hex file.
4. First 25 bytes which indicates the TIFF header information is stripped ,yet the hex file size is to large for normal text

Is this the procedure to convert the image file to hex
