Thank you for you reply, well I will test the uc with a new LCD after holidays, but as I tested the lcd with a new 8051 uc, with the same result, I think most probably LCD is damaged, I think the most probable reason is driver hardware (44780) damage as bert suggested or liquid crystal leakage as orlando suggested though there is no visual sign of leakage.
