If it's small form factor you're after, SiLabs' F300 series devices will blow any PIC clean out of the water in terms of speed and features.
... ok, the smallest have 11 pins, but you could still fit 2 of them in the same space as an 8-pin SOIC ... Rob. PS. Charles, did you mean the 12C508? |
