Well my view is that while you cannot deny the fact that most people can recognise great art,very few people want to recognise that a well designed building,or bridge is just as creative as say a sculpture.
Anyway the kind of art which people hold up as examples of wonderful work is produced only very rarely by people of true genius.
Anyway if you were to ask me I would say that Bill Evens playing Autumn leaves is a worth far more than some wannabe artist throwing mud at a canvas
