#68010 - RE: Getting Started Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Dear Mr Ruben Keil young,
A very simple question : Why do you want to do embedded code in C ? Is it that you are contemplating a career in embedded stuff and the Time To Market a new equipmemnt is of utmost importance that you would like to go with a high level language and leave the low level details to the compiler ? Or is it just to see the other side of the coin ? If you are not familiar with assembly already and know C like the back of your palm, then starting fresh with C to code for embedded could be a very daunting process. Desktop C is a very differnt ball game - plenty of support available. But embedded C, that way is relatively a less supported entity and you have to learn the hard way. So if you are fresh to both assembly and C, suggest start with assembly first. C can follow later. Raghu |
