If you want to get a full understanding of USB design, I recommend "USB Design By Example: A Practical Guide to Building I/O Devices," by John Hyde (ISBN 0970284659). In my case, it was enough to make me extremely grateful for those UART to USB chips that save me from having to fool with it. |
