still no joy with the rtc code!

as you know i can print out 'hello world' routine from micro to lcd.

how do i initialise the rtc in assembley ? i dont have a chip select, where in the code do i set my rtc variables, read,write and ale?

also, do i set up the data bus on rtc to micro, but i think there is no need as micro will recognise it already?

i have two codes on my site, one code prints the hello world, the other code i tried to (badly) modify it to print the date from rtc to the lcd, but no joy.

your obvioulsy more competent at assembley than myself, so maybe you can offer some more help :)
