#6901 - RE: LED BASED MOVING DISPLAY USING 8051 |
Dear Jimmy,
If you think it is not difficult at all. You must devide your project into small pieces. 1- Main controller 2- LED driving 3- Data Input 4- Power supply etc. etc. The layout of display will be columns and rows, usually 7/8 rows and columns as required. rows will be active high, source current, and columns will be active low, sink current. Columns will be devided into 8s set. Rows will be controlled with one IO and columns can be with another IO port. Outof of many column (8s) port, chip select will be controlled by thired IO port decoded externally if you have more then 8 sets of columns. You got the skeleton, now you can develop your own code for inputing data and displaying on screen. At zilog site I saw something like moving display, but dont remember exactly, you can check yourself. Goodluck Rauf |
