32k ram can hardly be called large... If as below said you run a high conversion rate, you will not be able to store a long conversation...


say, a microphone will be connected to record the audioin to the ram with high speed conversion ratio and retrieve the saved samples onto the host pc using the embedded UART of 8051..
can anyone give an idea to get the optimized and efficient code to do that using assembly....


Doesn't it basically come down to sampling your signal by doing AD-conversions and storing these 8-bit values into memory?

I'd say: start by writing some routines that read the output of an ADC. Then tackle your UART routines.
(or the other way round).

Oh yes, don't forget to design your hardware, as your software will need to be adapted to your hardware...
