I asked this question by keeping in mind courses offered by CDAC,Pune

Syllb. for embedded is mostly based on RTOS & then on telecommunication systems

while for vlsi it includes all basics of electronics to architecture development.

decision is about openings avilable in near as well as longer future

one thing bout vlsi, I read about some newer tech. of manufacturing chips not based on semiconductors....
I am totally new in this field so troubling you
