#7013 - RS485 with supp. voltage over long lines |
Hello everybody,
I want to build a full duplex RS485 network. I also want to distribute the supply voltage of my microcontrollers over additional twisted pairs of the RS485 cable (at a level of 24 V). I think I have to use galvanically isolated interfaces due to a rough environment with long cables. 1. Wich DC/DC converter (24 V to 5 V) can you recommend? 2. Whats the best interface chip: 75ALS180 (with external optocouplers, etc.), LTC1535, MAX1490B or another one, I don't know? Thank you, Michael |
