#7019 - RE: RS485 with supp. voltage over long lines |
I designed something like this about 6 years ago.
I used one of the Maxim driver IC's for the RS 485. It may have been a MAX483 IC maybe? I recomend using one of the Maxim IC's with the built in transient protection. My design didnt supply power to the remote unit but I used Nat. Semi. LM2572 series switching regulators for the +5 V. supply |
