Usage of this chip (or a COG type display that has one of these chips mounted upon it) will be very similar to an application I did with Tianma displays. The functions of the controller chip on the Tianma display (the S6B0724A) are so close to those of the Epson graphics LCD controller chips that it takes nearly the same type software to drive them.
