To measure frequency, you need a time reference.
To simply distinguish between 11MHz and 22MHz, you just need something that's sufficiently frequency-sensitive to tell the difference. Since you're making a new board, can't you design something in to the new board that will allow the SW to identify it? The software then assumes 11MHz unless this distinguishing feature is found. |
