#71296 - Crystal 20pF or 32pF Load Cap? |
i know there are crystal oscilators with load cap. in series, 20pF, 32pF. i'm looking at the catalog of mouser.
i already read the thread of "parallel cut crystal VS series cut" http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=55546 i don't know which type of crystal i should get for *** mcp2120 (irda encoder & decoder) there is a crystal of 7.3728MHz with 2 capacitors of 18pF. the schematic is in page 55: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads...51246a.pdf i think i should get a crystal with 20pF of load cap because it is the closest, am i correct?? *** ft232bm (usb-rs232) there is a crystal of 6MHz with 2 caps of 27pF, the schematic in page 13 of : http://www.ftdichip.com/Documents/ds232b12.pdf "If using a crystal, use a parallel cut type" should i get a crystal with 32pF of load cap for ft232bm ??? ***microcontroller. we use in school a crystal of 11.0592 MHz with 2 caps of 27pF. should i get again a crystal with 32pF? ---> what could happen if i buy a crystal with 20pF load cap. and place it instead of a 32pF in the case of the microcontroller?? |
