Regarding the problem of extra character in the buffer , I have solved the same by resetting the SCON.4 ( ren bit ) and enabling the same only after the user pushed the input that he is ready to recieve.So there is no stray character in the buffer from a previous transmission.
I am using a 12.000 MHz xtal. I am using MAX232 and no funny chips. I am using interrupts. Regards Thomas |
