Dear Jez: you are absolutely right, but please consider that in most cases victims of software piracy are small businesses, creative people with very low budget and fund(they can't develop very sophisticated softwares not because they are not clever enough but because they don't have enough resources). big companies with their big legal team are relatively immune to piracy. some big companies deserve the term arrogant very much! I often see in internet very very clever softwares that their crack is present almost everywhere though they are much much better than their big companies’ counterparts . I feel very sorry for author(s) of that software. If I would see crack of some big companies' crap, it wouldn't hurt that much! fortunately things are changing :-) with development of open source softwares some big companies are challenged more and more. hopefully in near future a fair chance will appear for those low budget developers to present their product to more and more customers who turned thier face away from thoes again some big companies.
