I have found USB modules that will look like a serial port (to the 8051) on the 8051 side but I have no clue how to talk to the card reader beyond.
because there is no USB MASTER. The usb/serial converters are running off the master in the PC, not the serial port. You will need a chip such as the Cypress CY7C67300 (~$5)programmed as a master to do this. Erik |
