As an aside, there's pin compatible FRAM based devices that DO have a read cycle limit - their plus point is that they write a lot faster than the usual eeproms. Your technique of using the eeprom to store frequently used data is a common one - things like strings,cal factors , things that don't change too frequently can save you a lot of ram and code space. |
