If you have a look into datasheet you will find a note, that capacitive loading on ports 0 and 2 may cause spurious noise to be superimposed on the Vols of ALE and ports 1 and 3. And you will find a specification about what is relevant capacitive loading and what not: 100pF. If you have bigger capacitive load per port 0 or 2 pin, then trouble will result! Hallo again, I was informed, that this note has disappeared from most todays datasheets. I'm sorry! If someone is interested in a datasheet from 1997, I will send him a copy.
