That is interesting, they probably tried using a fixed notch filter, which of course will also affect the signal that the HAM operators are interested in. I was proposing an active notch filter scheme which would use the actual signals coming from the power line as the reference. You would need a DSP to accomplish this, analog circuitry wouldn't do the job. Similar schemes are used in radar detection and sonar detection. Jacob |
