 		 #73611 - unique code for a microcontroller
Hi,

I am using RS232 to link my 89C51 based instrument to the PC. I require a unique code so that the PC side software communicates with my instrument only if that code matches. On method is that before each burning of the code in the controller, I assign it a unique code. Is there any unique code for each microcontroller provided by the chip manufacturer?
