ok, ive found pretty much all info i need to get this project up and running.
now all i gotta do is make that bootloader - thankfully, ive got some slightly more user-friendly books for that.

some of these chip manufacturers could make life so much easier for so many people if they just made their documentation and site layout a little more helpful...
