Just in case: I would like to point out that you will also need a Subscriber Line Interface Circuit (SLIC for short) to successfully establish a connection with the FAX machines. You also need a means for interfacing with the PSTN network, called a Data Access Arrangement (DAA).
Try Zarlink for both SLIC and DAA.
