#73856 - RE: interfacing floppy drive with 8051
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hello Huzefa,

For a killer floppy disk drive interface using a 8051 IC. This site includes a schematic and source code. Really a cool site. http://www.freewebz.com/daner/finalp.htm

National FDC[Floppy Disk Controller] DP8473 is a very old product by now [2002]. This page describes making issues of DP8473-based universal data logger with floppy disk 1.44MB as the medium. You can log any data you wish from any interface, e.g. from sensor [mine is temperature sensor]. The logging process is done periodically and of course, you can change the way to fulfill your need. The main controller is 8052 family, controlling the data acquisition, data logging via FDC and give the user a command menu. FAT12 file system was used for file management. Full and free source code available for download in the bottom of this page.
