im doing my final year engineering project and really need some information on how to interface a floppy drive

I would suggest you to leave this project and take some other project because
1. You need a Floppy drive controller for interfacing with Floppy drive which are obselete now its very difficult to get a FDC chip these days.
2. If you think of interfacing Floppy drive without a FDC by connecting floppy drive directly with microcontroller in a manner that the micro takes care of FDC functions you will get old writing those routines.
