Could you just use two RS232 transceivers, and just shut down the one you're not currently using? Or, if your RS232 transceivers don't have shutdown, just multiplex them onto your 8051's Rx & Tx lines. Or, connect one of them to a Soft UART. Or, use an I2C (or similar) dual UART. Or,... |
