SS7821 specs. seem to be fine and appear to be a good investment.

Maybe you should cross check on following :

1. Warranty terms - at least one year comprehensive must be there.

2. Service back up. It should be available in Mumbai or atleast within India - if not just drop the idea of buying even if it is the best. Oscilloscopes like any test and measuring instrument will be the target of much abuse and should be recoverable in case of problem.

3. Probes - just check out that you get the best in the market ( like Tektronix ) if the original ones are flimsy and doubtful.
