What controller are u using? I usually use Philips controllers with an I2C interface on board, and they don't have internal pullups on port pins 1.6 and 1.7
Also: use a scope to watch the waveforms. You DO have a scope, don't you??? You are not using the RW pin. This implies that you are using delays. (yuch! :) ). Are your delays long enough? |
