That's a lot of drop. Where do you measure this drop? At the output of the power supply (in which case your PSU is simply too weak) or at the terminals of one of the (which?) LED boards? (in which case your wires are too thin or too long) If you consume 2.7A, and loose 1V, then the resistance of your wiring before that point must be 0,4 Ohms, which is so high, it makes me suspicious if wiring is really the problem here UNLESS we are talking about very long distances, which you haven't commented on (yet). So: what is the distance between the PSU and the boards, and what is the distance between the LED boards? In any case, your drawing C, the "star" layout, is the best, and the only candidate if you want to do it really right. |
