#75230 - RE: OT: Tools. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Here's my list of tools. The test equipment list is quite short - I only have an old Leader 20MHz scope, a DMM and a frequency counter.
Some of my programming equipment is home made. I have made a programmer for 20-pin Atmels and another for 40/44 pin Atmels and Winbonds. I recently bought a cheap programmer for Philips chips, and I also have en EETools EPROM programmer. I often use an old NMI (New Micros) 8031 development board for testing bits of code and hardware. Not very high tech, but it works and it's cheap. You also asked about soldering tools. I have a temperature controlled iron I use for most of my soldering work. I built it at school 10 years ago. We had to build everything ourselves - we even handwound the transformers... I also have a Weller TCP with a thin tip that I use for SMD work. Best regards, Mikkel C. Simonsen |
