Just one more question Michael , considering the configuration you are using it must have been a DOS platform( single tasking no threads)?

How did you communicate with the drives ?

From what you are saying micro vectors , you mean the interpolated path gets broken into smaller intermediate points which are achieved by independant X Y traversal. This would affect the surface finish of the finished components,depending on the size of the micro vector.
Also each time the contour changes say from a line to an arc , there would be a dwell time when the new set of vectors are calculated ,is that right ?
Could you tell me the process being controlled , turning, milling etc ? Anywhere available on the net ?
