The KMZ51 is a single axis magnetic field sensor. It's good for detecting magnetic fields, passing cars and such, but if you want to know which way north is you need the dual axis KMZ52.
Using the Cordic method of calculating the necessary trig values, you can achieve accuracy of about a degree with the KMZ52. Floating point not needed. Dennis |
