You have 3.1 - 0.7 = 3.03V in the emiter to ground, so if the resistor is 2K2 The Ie=1.37 mA. If beta is high then Ic=Ie (aprox) so Ic= 1.37mA and all the voltage drops in the transistor not in the optocoupler. The circuit is a constant current generator at the collector of the transistor,and it works (i tested it for less voltage) the only cuestion is select the transistor and adjust all. |
