Im new at this so please go easy hehe After reading through all the tutorials Atmel doco and the bulk of these threads I haven't been able to answer these questions, or get them clear in my own mind, so I'm hoping you guys can.

1. Is it possible to run Timer1 as a RTC and simultaneously run Timer2 as either a counter or 2nd RTC.

2. Is it possible to interrupt Timer1, reset it with a different time (through the serial port) and start it again without effecting Timer2 (i.e Timer1 stops but Timer2 keeps counting).

3. Is it possible to force Timer2 into capture mode when Timer1 is interrupted, back to normal mode to be used as the baud rate generator, then back to capture mode when Timer1 is restarted, so that the time taken to reset Timer1 can be calculated?
